AKEMSAN was founded in 1967 by Saim ERSOYBAŞ as a small workshop. In 1974, Sami ERSOYBAŞ joined as a partner and the company moved into woodworking machinery manufacturing.
Early products were diesel-engine band saws and hand-pushed log carriages; today the company builds modern industrial machinery with hydraulic systems and digital panel controls.
AKEMSAN machines run in turnkey sawmills and pallet plants in Turkey and abroad, including Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Bulgaria and Guinea-Bissau.
