Hydraulic Log Carriages
Akemsan log carriages hold, turn and set the log to the required thickness on every pass through the band saw line. On the remote-controlled 130-UK / 135-UK model the operator runs every function from an ergonomic control desk, and a 30-position preset memory removes sizing errors.
Independent hydraulic dogs and a 1,250 kg log turner position heavy logs in seconds. AC-inverter geared setworks give precise positioning, and the cable-drum feed runs the carriage at 0–75 m/min. Carriages are built with 3 or 4 headblocks in lengths of 5,200–6,450 mm and are installed together with Akemsan vertical band saws as a complete line.
